spent the day working on grad school apps. see this post for some background. dates have changed, obviously, but applying to most of those programs. with the addition of a back-up plan (which is starting to sound like a good idea).

last night's cheesey bread experiment turned into a cheesey bread and soup extravaganza. however, the bread turned out awesomely.
as did today's experiment in 'potato baps'. delicious.
also made monte cristo sammiches for justin, alex and renee. yum.
and cake. funfetti cake with blue frosting. why you ask? because we could!

i hate car shopping. my f**king mother is so indecisive. however, her criteria includes:

hopefully having taking a jetta to get looked over on monday.
maybe looking at an echo tomorrow if they call me back
drove an eclipse yesterday too.

im so sick of this.

finally painting the walls, after two coats on the ceiling and the trim. luckily, i had help for the first coat of red. coat two goes on tomorrow hopefully. probably doing three coats in all, because with one coat you can still see the waves and all the spackle spots. much fun was had today.

on the bed front, Ikea burbank told me it was special order only, which makes it become a $500 bed because of shipping and stuff. but low and behold, Ikea covina has 6 in stock, so i'm going this weekend hopefully. provided i'm not car shopping, which is a whole other story that i dont wanna go into right now. ugh.

book shelves have been painted. shopping online for beds today. might hit ikea soon.

i'm planning on making and upholstering my own head board. traditional ones dont really work because of my slanty walls. just gotta find the right material...

room update:
the spackle clouds have been primed, as has the new trim. shelves are set up outside to be painted, probably wont get to them until friday tho. going to grandma's tomorrow to do some construction and to 6 flags thrusday for xianvox's birthday.

gotta get ready for dance class now, toodles intertubes.

i have a very empty room. and am covered in spackle and primer.
no bed, desk in the middle of the room, no chairs, clothes all hidden in the closet.

today i primer and sand, tomorrow i paint (maybe, at least the ceiling)

I'm going to be incommunicado for the next week. We're house sitting in the malibu mountains with no internet and i possibly have no cell phone service. However, justin's phone definitely works (thanks to the new verizon tower in the hour), so if you need to get ahold of me, call him. He'll be going down the hill to work most days, so he gets internet privileges occasionally and can bring people back with him if they can meet him in Santa Monica. I get to sit on my bum in front of a tv with more channels than i can possibly watch. Also, I might be hitting the 3rd street promenade one day for some good old fashion shopping and could use some company.
That said, if anyone is in the area and wants to hang out, lemme know! We're not far from the beach (right near mullholland and decker cyn), got a nice big house with a guest room and some animals to play with. 19 alpacas, 7 dogs, 2 llamas, 1 cat and 1 fish to be exact.
